Steve Rowe had a solution to a problem I was having for my Brother Printer. My wife has an XP Pro machine, and I have Vista 64bit. When I tried to share my printer to her, it would say there wasn’t any valid drivers. So I downloaded the drivers manually and tried to connect the printer. It still threw an error. Turns out Vista came with the Brother Printer’s drivers, but named slightly different. All I had to do to fix it was change the name of the drivers in the INF file on my wife’s computer.
